Message from the Commandant

I feel privileged to have an opportunity to serve as commandant of DMTS. Training is the key element for the professionalism. Disaster management is the one of the responsibilities of the APF is to provide a helping hand when such disaster strike and Nepal Government has entrusted APF with the same.

Nepal is susceptible to earthquake, flood, landslide, avalanches, Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GOLF) drought, and forest fire, among other hazards. A combination of these hazards poses a grave threat to national economy and development of the country.

Disaster Management Training School is established the one –of a kind and first disaster Management Training center to be established by any Nepali security institution in the country in a strategic location in Kurintar to train its personnel making them ready for all time . The institution is also highly recognized in South Asia. The DMTS has been working in Nepal a disaster resilient nation through its community capacity building process.
